About

Paddy Blake has over 12-years experience working as a Senior Motion Designer specialising
in both 2D and 3D. Leaving his last Senior full-time role in branding with "Design Studio" London (now "Further") he worked across brilliant brands including Airbnb, Panasonic, British Airways
and Tencent, as well as many agency roles in brand, sports and television.

As a senior his expectations are to:

Establish realistic timelines for projects to assist with budget allocation
Help to steer directors, producers and/or designers to express
their thoughts in the language of motion while retaining
the core communication of the brand
Develop motion design principle guidelines
Assist development of junior and mid-weight designers
Show willingness to get stuck in at any level,
at the end of the day it just needs to
be beautiful, functional animation.

Currently in a "perma-lance" role with the BBC
and ITN (and previously The Mail Online),
he tackles day-to-day graphics for their daily
news programming and longer form digital
content. He also regularly work with
Soundbetter on artist "Canvas designs"
for the Spotify devices app.

Now he is experimenting with
synthesising emerging AI technologies
in to his workflows for practical, realistic
outputs, learning software while communicating their
usefulness and limitations to businesses and their clients.

He feels he'll never get bored of this industry.
